RETROFIT & BUILDING AUTOMATION

Smart homes in ArlesheimKnow the state. Keep control.

For a property in Arlesheim, useful door information begins with understanding what each device can report. DomoSenso can assess compatible contacts, lock events and battery notices, with manual access and failure behaviour considered separately.

What I connected

A Nuki lock reports its state and actions over MQTT. A separate contact sensor monitors a different door; both appear in the home dashboard.

What we can do for you

Connect compatible lock information and door contacts, select useful notifications and show clearly which sensor reports which condition.

The practical detail

A locked state does not prove that a door is closed. This is status visibility, not a certified security or hotel access-control system.

A CLEAR STARTING POINT

Before the first device.

A useful routine, existing equipment and a clear handover come before a long shopping list.

Does a smart lock tell me whether the door is closed?

Not necessarily. Lock state and door position are different signals. We check what the actual hardware reports and label each reading clearly. A connected status display is not a certified alarm system. Physical access, keys and the behaviour during loss of power or connectivity need separate planning.

What do you need for an initial enquiry?

Tell me the location, how the building is used and the routine you want to improve. A short list of existing devices helps. We then review goals, compatibility, access and a realistic first scope. Consultations and project discussions preferably in English.

What about building changes and electrical work?

We distinguish retrofit devices from changes to fixed installations. Compatibility, necessary permissions and responsibilities are reviewed first. Fixed-wiring work is carried out by an appropriately qualified electrical professional. Scope, travel and ongoing support are agreed separately.
