RETROFIT & BUILDING AUTOMATION

Smart homes in MünchensteinConnected devices. Clear responsibilities.

For a home or shared workspace in Münchenstein, connecting devices is only one part of the job. We can assess door-status visibility and selected routines alongside user permissions, documentation and a sensible handover.

What I connected

A Nuki lock reports its state and actions over MQTT. A separate contact sensor monitors a different door; both appear in the home dashboard.

What we can do for you

Connect compatible lock information and door contacts, select useful notifications and show clearly which sensor reports which condition.

The practical detail

A locked state does not prove that a door is closed. This is status visibility, not a certified security or hotel access-control system.

A CLEAR STARTING POINT

Before the first device.

A useful routine, existing equipment and a clear handover come before a long shopping list.

Who should be able to see or control a shared system?

We agree roles before adding users: who operates the system, who receives alerts and who maintains it. Door events and occupancy-related information can reveal routines, so the scope should collect only what is useful. Access changes and the handover process need documentation alongside the devices.

What do you need for an initial enquiry?

Tell me the location, how the building is used and the routine you want to improve. A short list of existing devices helps. We then review goals, compatibility, access and a realistic first scope. Consultations and project discussions preferably in English.

What about building changes and electrical work?

We distinguish retrofit devices from changes to fixed installations. Compatibility, necessary permissions and responsibilities are reviewed first. Fixed-wiring work is carried out by an appropriately qualified electrical professional. Scope, travel and ongoing support are agreed separately.
