Existing Somfy RTS terrace shades connect through a radio bridge to Home Assistant. An automation retracts them at sunset; a separate alert flags a wind sensor that stops reporting during daylight.

Can existing blinds and terrace shades be connected?
That depends on the motor, radio protocol and available interfaces. We check compatibility and whether reported position is measured or estimated. The original controls and manufacturer’s wind protection remain part of the design; a dashboard cannot compensate for a faulty protection sensor.
What do you need for an initial enquiry?
Tell me the location, how the building is used and the routine you want to improve. A short list of existing devices helps. We then review goals, compatibility, access and a realistic first scope. Consultations and project discussions preferably in English.
What about building changes and electrical work?
We distinguish retrofit devices from changes to fixed installations. Compatibility, necessary permissions and responsibilities are reviewed first. Fixed-wiring work is carried out by an appropriately qualified electrical professional. Scope, travel and ongoing support are agreed separately.
