RETROFIT & BUILDING AUTOMATION

Smart homes in BinningenEvery room has its own rhythm.

For a home or small property in Binningen, a single thermostat does not show what happens in every room. A possible starting point is a shared view of temperature and humidity, with thresholds chosen for how you actually use each space.

What I connected

Room sensors feed a shared climate dashboard. Air-conditioning telemetry also supports a heat-buildup notification around the condenser.

What we can do for you

Room-by-room climate monitoring, trends and useful thresholds. Where compatible, bring existing climate controls into the same view.

The practical detail

Temperature and humidity are not a complete air-quality assessment. Alert thresholds need checking for each installation; my condenser alert threshold still needs validation in hot weather.

A CLEAR STARTING POINT

Before the first device.

A useful routine, existing equipment and a clear handover come before a long shopping list.

Where should climate sensors go?

We choose positions away from direct sun, heaters and other local heat sources, then compare readings over time. A useful threshold needs context: room use, ventilation and the sensor’s behaviour. Temperature and humidity readings alone do not constitute a complete air-quality assessment.

What do you need for an initial enquiry?

Tell me the location, how the building is used and the routine you want to improve. A short list of existing devices helps. We then review goals, compatibility, access and a realistic first scope. Consultations and project discussions preferably in English.

What about building changes and electrical work?

We distinguish retrofit devices from changes to fixed installations. Compatibility, necessary permissions and responsibilities are reviewed first. Fixed-wiring work is carried out by an appropriately qualified electrical professional. Scope, travel and ongoing support are agreed separately.
